Why travel with Tourio

🧭

20 years of experience

Our team has led small-group adventures across Asia, East Africa, the Caucasus and South America since 2006. We know the routes we run inside out — and we run them personally.

👥

Small groups only

Never more than 15 people on this tour. Small groups move differently — you get into places larger groups can't, spend more time in the moment and actually get to know the people you're travelling with.

✈️

Int'l flights not included

You book your own flights, so you have full flexibility over your dates, airline and route. We're always happy to advise on the best connections — just ask when you enquire.

💬

Real conversations

No booking engine. Enquire and our team will be in touch within 24 hours to discuss everything personally — and to tailor the trip around your schedule and what matters most to you.

Before you book — good to know

  1. Most visitors need a visa for Iran. UK, US and Canadian passport holders are required to travel on a guided tour — which is exactly what this is — and we arrange your visa authorisation code and send full guidance when you book.
  2. Iran has a modest dress code. Women are required to cover their hair with a headscarf in public and everyone should keep shoulders and knees covered; we send detailed, practical advice before you travel.
  3. Best time to travel: spring (April–May) and autumn (late September–October) are ideal. High summer is very hot, especially in Yazd and the central desert (35–40°C).
  4. Western bank and credit cards do not work in Iran because of sanctions, so there are no ATMs you can use. Bring enough cash (euros, pounds or US dollars) for personal spending — we'll advise on how much.
