Kenya's greatest safari parks — the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, the freshwater beauty of Lake Naivasha and the elephants of Amboseli National Park with Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Eight days, maximum 8 people, in open-sided 4WD game drive vehicles with experienced Kenyan guides who know every inch of the landscape.
Arrive in Nairobi. Optional morning visit to the Nairobi Elephant Orphanage — baby elephants rescued from the wild are fed and played with in front of visitors. Welcome dinner at a rooftop restaurant with views over the city.
Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve — a 5-hour journey through the Rift Valley escarpment, with dramatic views as you descend to the Mara plains. Afternoon game drive in the Mara immediately after arriving at camp — the light is perfect in the late afternoon.
Full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara Triangle is one of the most productive areas for big cat sightings — lions, cheetahs and leopards are regularly seen here. Optional hot air balloon safari at dawn (not included, arranged directly).
Early morning game drive before breakfast — often the best time for predator activity. Then drive through the Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake surrounded by acacia woodland and papyrus. Afternoon boat trip on the lake to spot hippos, fish eagles and pelicans.
Full day at Lake Naivasha. Morning walk on Crescent Island — a game walk on a fenceless peninsula in the lake where zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and waterbuck roam freely alongside you. Afternoon at leisure by the water, with the option to cycle into Hell's Gate National Park — one of the very few parks in Kenya where you can be among wildlife on a bike.
Morning at leisure by the lake before a long drive south to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Kilimanjaro. The journey passes through the Rift Valley and the edge of Maasai territory — a landscape that grows more dramatic as Kilimanjaro comes into view. Afternoon arrival at the lodge.
Full day in Amboseli National Park at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants — over 1,600 individuals are known to researchers. Morning and afternoon game drives with the possibility of Kilimanjaro as your backdrop if the mountain is clear of cloud (best early morning).
Final morning game drive at first light in Amboseli before driving back to Nairobi. Farewell lunch in the city. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
Our team has led small-group adventures across Asia, East Africa, the Caucasus and South America since 2006. We know the routes we run inside out — and we run them personally.
Never more than 8 people on this tour. Small groups move differently — you get into places larger groups can't, spend more time in the moment and actually get to know the people you're travelling with.
You book your own flights, so you have full flexibility over your dates, airline and route. We're always happy to advise on the best connections — just ask when you enquire.
No booking engine. Enquire and our team will be in touch within 24 hours to discuss everything personally — and to tailor the trip around your schedule and what matters most to you.
